About the Project
Kathalaya is an internationally renowned storytelling organization recognized for its unique learning programs. The project involved revamping the WordPress website including the showcase for upcoming events, consolidating forms, newsletters, and galleries, and creating content optimized blogs. It involved improving the user experience by integrating multiple plugins.

The freelance project comprised of designing marketing collaterals such as posters, images, and banners for their online and offline promotions and workshops. I also conducted volunteer photoshoots of one of the workshops conducted by the NGO.
When I was tasked with this project, the as-is state of the website was in a poor condition with regards to the content, the structure, the layout, and the integrated plugins. Despite having many active campaigns, overall the digital presence of the brand was not reflected on social media and search engines.
Exciting Highlights
- Enhanced the site speed by 40%.
- Created a responsive layout for mobile devices.
- Boosted SEO leading to results on the first page of search engines.
The biggest challenge on this mission was the prioritization of the meetings and demos since I was working with a client who had pre-planned engagements with other stakeholders.
